Boxycharm August 2014 Review

I was really excited yesterday when my August’s Boxycharm came in. I previously have read online that the theme of this month’s box will be Beach Babe, and I just couldn’t wait to see what beauty products will be included. This month’s box definitely did not disappoint. It’s actually pretty amazing! !!

The first, and probably my favorite, product was Morphe S19 Powder Brush (retail value $19.99). This brand is new to me, but I am already in love with them. This brush is of very high quality, and the bristles are very soft and silky. It can be used to apply powder, as well as a bronzer. I already used the brush today to apply my Laura Mercier Radiance Baked Powder, and I have to admit that the effect is flawless. I will be definitely buying more brushes from Morphe.

The second product was the Ofra Cosmetics Americano Bronzer (it was full sized and it’s retail value is $35.00 !!). I am pretty content with this bronzer,  because it has a perfect sandy shade. It is not too dark or orangey, like so many other bronzers I have tried. The only thing I would change about this bronzer, is that I wouldn’t make it as shimmery as it is. I personally prefer more matte bronzers, because I dont like when my whole face is all shimmery. However, I have decided that this bronzer will be perfect for contouring, by applying it only in certain areas.

The third product was Tarina Tarantino Conditioning Lip Sheen in Showroom-pastel pink (also full sized with retail value of $22.00). It is a pretty nice balm/sheen, since I wouldn’t call it a lipstick because it doesn’t provide enough color. It definitely hydrates and smoothes the lips, making it a must have for the summer weather

The fourth product was Model Co Cheek+Lips Tint Rosy Red (full sized, retail value $ 22.00). I am familiar with this product, because I had received it in Glossybox long time ago. It is a really useful lip and cheeks stain, which looks very natural. When using it as a cheek tint make sure to use a small amount and blend it in with your fingers.

The fifth product was Ofra Cosmetics Eyeliner (full sized, retail value $ 13.00). It came in Green Go color, which is a nice, shimmery, military green. This eyeliner is water resistant and long lasting, making it perfect for use in the inner rim of an eye.

So, what do you think of the August 2014 Boxycharm?? All comments are appreciated.

Wantable Intimates June 2014 Review

Wantable Intimates is a monthly subscription of highly customizable lingerie, loungewear, hosiery, and even socks. You actually get to pick which of these items you would like to receive, as well as you get to pick what type of style you prefer, what colors and designs, and what sizes you want. I mainly subscribed to this box in order to receive the latest trends in lingerie. This is my second box, and so far I have been highly satisfied (if not even wowed!!) by this subscription. As a subscriber, you get 3-5 personally customizable items. The cost of the monthly subscription is $36, but you can also try a single box for the price of $40. Each item in the box has an attached price tag with it’s retail value, so you know you receive high value products.

Also each month the subscription boxes have a common theme, as well as they feature few specific brands. This month the theme was “sexy, practical, and everything in between”. Some of the featured brands were REAL Underwear, Honeydew, and Coobie. This month also featured “adorable baby dolls, chemises, and comfy capri pajama sets”.

The first item I received (or more of a set) was Eighty One Enterprises Falling For You Babydoll & thong set. The set came in smooth, silky material, with black, lace trimmings. The retail value of this set is $30.00. Honestly, I am completely in love with this set! ! It came in this now highly trendy radiant orchid color. As most of us, beauty mavens, know this radiant orchid color is actually this year’s Pantone’s color of the year. Additionaly, the little, black, lace details make this babydoll set extra feminine and sexy.

The second item I received was Eighty One Enterprises Simply Flawless hipster. It came in in aqua color, with a nice striped design in the front, and lace back. The retail value of this panty is $8.00. I really like the hipster design, as well as the combination of casual stripes and trendy lace.

The third item I received was this adorable and classic Scallop Rose Bralette from Pucker Up!. The retail value of this bralette is $18.00. Honestly, I usually prefer to wear bras with a little support and push up, but I have decided that wearing soft bras at home is probably a much better idea. This bralette is extremely comfy, while it still provides a very attractive and sensual design. It is definitely one of my new favorite bras.

The fourth, and final, item I received took me by a surprise. Somehow, I received the same pair of boyshorts from Honeydew, as I did last month. Apparently, this month the attached card said that these boyshorts are called Florence knickers, and not Daphne hipster…Most likely it was a minor mistake in the subscription service, where I have received the same item twice, but I am still highly pleased, since I personally love these knickers/hipster. On the other hand, if I was to be dissatisfied with this situation, Wantable has an easy and free return process with a high customers’ satisfaction guaranteed. 🙂

Overall, I am still a highly satisfied and pleased subscriber of the Wantable Intimates monthly subscription service. I definitely recommend it to every woman out there!! Also, if you are intrested in trying out this subscription box, please check out my invitation link below. Thank you!!! I would also appreciate any comments on this subscription box. Did you ever try it? Were you satisfied? What did you get?? Thank you. 🙂

Wantable Intimates May 2014

I wanted to try something a little different, so I decided to include in my blog few reviews of non-beauty products. I have added Wantable Intimates lingerie subscription. May 2014 was my first month of trying this pretty recent monthly subscription. It costs $36 when you sign up for monthly subscription, or you can pay $40 for a one time box. This box is extremely customizable, where you fill out a detailed profile, as well as you get to specify which types of products you love, like, or don’t like.

This subscription service has a pretty high value, and you get known brands of lingerie. The box comes with 3-5 items, each of them has an attached tag with it’s retail value. My box came in with 4 items, and it’s retail value was $64. That’s pretty good considering I loved every single item.

The first item I received was this adorable fine mesh cami and boyshort set from Honeydew. The retail value of this set is $36. I am completely in love with this set, which is going to be very useful in the summer as something to sleep in. The material is very stretchy and pleasantly soft to the skin. Also, the emerald color is very trendy with the delicate, beige, lace trimmings.

The second item I received were these cute, silky, and rasberry colored Daphne hipsters from Honeydew. They have a delicate, white, and lace trimming, as well as a detailed lace design in the front. In the back they are a little ruched, which makes them extra adorable. The retail value of these hipsters is $20.

The third, and final, item I received was turquoise, soft illusion, lace boyshorts from Rene Rofe. These are very comfy, and they pretty much remind me of the Victorias Secret lace panties. The retail value of these boyshorts is $8.

Overall, I am very happy with this Wantable Intimates lingerie subscription, and I recommend it to everyone!!! If you are interested in trying out this amazing box, then please use my invitation link below 🙂 Thank you!!

Review of new beauty subscription box “Beauty DNA”- April 2014

I wanted to share with you about this new beauty subscription box, which is bringing a complete change in beauty subscription boxes. Beauty DNA is a new montly subscription, where you pay $25 each month (free shipping), and then you receive one (well, I guess sometimes even two since I just got two) full sized, brand name product in either skincare, hair care, or body care. The fun begins with filling out a detailed and customizable beauty profile. They ask you questions about everything that you would ever consider when buying a beauty product. You can specify what ingredients you want in your products, what scents you like, your skin concerns on scale of none-mild-moderate-acute. You also pick if you want to receive a skincare product, body care, or hair care in your first box. I picked skincare!!

I honestly have never seen such a customizable beauty profile anywhere! It really grants that you will only receive the products you want/like.

Onto my April 2014 Beauty DNA box review… all I can say is that I am officially in love with this subscription service. Since I picked skincare as my preference for first box, I have received Avene Cleanance Mask for oily, blemish-prone skin (1.69 fl oz). This mask is for treatment of acne and breakouts. It contains salicylic acid and glycolic acid. This mask is perfect for deep cleansing and exfoliating, which are neccessary with acne prone skin. With the product came a large card called Skin Report, where Beauty DNA explains why this product was your product match. On the card you can find the retail price of the product, benefits, how to use, and finally why this product is good for you personally.Image

I am guessing that since my product’s retail value was below $25 (it was $22), I have also received a bonus product this month. A HUGE bonus!! The second product was Moroccanoil dry body oil (3.4 fl oz., retail value $38!!). I was pleasantly surprised with this product and I am already in love with it. My skin has never been smoother as it is now! This product also came with a Skin Repord card.

I am in love with Beauty DNA!! What do you think? Will you try it? I love every single comment I get! 🙂

Birchbox March Review (late)

I am sorry I am posting March’s reviews so late, but I started a new job and was working extra hours in past few weeks. But let’s get to the fun stuff!! First, I am going to start with March’s Birchbox.

I will be honest and say that when I first opened that box I was disappointed.  The main reasons were that I hate getting perfume samples, I hate getting non-beauty product -chocolate, and I never heard of the two brands that were featured in my box ( Air Repair Skincare and Grand Central Beauty). However, now that I had the box for few days and got to try all the samples, I am pretty much in love with that Birchbox.

Number one reason why I love March’s Birchbox, is that I received a large (deluxe, 1.7 fl oz)) sample of Michael Todd Blue Green Algae Antibacterial Toner. I love Michael Todd products and I had previously tried two different products from him and they were also amazing. This toner is highly moisturizing,  anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, for all skin types, and it aids in treatment and prevention of acne. The last part was the most important to me, treatment and prevention of my occassional acne. The toner really does help in the treatment of blemishes. I have been using it for two weeks now and all my pimples disappeared. It is so good I have already bought it full size from for a great price of  $18.50. I actually bought it with my birchbox points, another reason why I love birchbox!! This toner works on acne, but it does not dry out your skin at all. It is an amazing product!!

The second product in the box was Air Repair Skincare Rescue Balm. It is an all-purpose skin salve and a lip balm all in one. So far, I have only used it as lip balm and I am really satisfied with it. It healed my chapped lips in matter of two days!! It it is really moisturizing and effective, so I definitely recommend it to anyone. I also decided that I can’t be upset when I get products from brands that I have never heard of. I mean isn’t it what it is all about? Discovery of new products and new brands? 🙂

The third product was Grand Central Beauty S.M.A.R.T. Skin Perfecting Serum+Primer. This serum/primer is good for all skin types, and it is probably most effective in mature skin, because it serves as a filler under the makeup, especially under eyes. I like it, even though I don’t have wrinkles yet, because it smells amazing and leaves my skin super soft. It also absorbs into skin quickly so there is no waiting for it to soak in. I just wish the sample was a little bigger.

The fourth product was Sarah McNamara Beauty Miracle Skin Transformer Face Spotlight. It is a 5 in 1 illuminating complexion enhancer with UVA/UVB SPF 20. I like all of the Skin Transformer products, but this one is my new favorite. It comes in creamy, tan, and shimmery consistency and it serves great as a foundation primer. I like it, because it really illuminates your skin, and not just makes it shiny or glittery( which I hate).I will be definitely buying a full size product after I am done with this sample. It make take a little time, because a small amount of this product goes a long way!

The fifth product was Harvey Prince perfume sample in Cherie Blossom. The perfume is pretty nice and feminine, but it is a little to sweet and girly. I like perfume designed more for women than girls. But this perfume is probably perfect for age range of 14-25. I mean everyone likes something different.

There was also a chocolate included in the box, and first I was upset about it, but then I realized that this chocolate didn’t take place of my beauty sample (like it sometimes does), but was an extra gift all together.

Overall, I am very happy with my March Birchbox. I am especially glad that I have discovered my new go to product, the Michael Todd toner! What did you get in your Birchbox? Are you satisfied with it? I really appreciate every single comment 🙂

Glossybox February 2014 Review

wpid-storagesdcard02014-02-26-14.03.15.jpg.jpgOverall,  I liked the February Glossybox. It offered 5 products in different categories, like skincare, nails, hair, and makeup. Glossybox is the one of those subscription services that never disappoints you, and offers something for everybody.

The first product was the new Lauren B. Beauty Nail Couture nail polish in City of Angels (light pastel pink). The Lauren B. Beauty collection hasn’t been officially released yet, so it was nice to try the product before most of the people. The nail polish is really good. I had it on for three days now, and it hasn’t chipped at all yet. It is definitely great quality, and the bottle is pretty large too. The only thing that I wish was different is the actual nail polish color. I can’t count how many light pink nail polishes I have so far, but I am guessing this color was chosen to stay on the safe side, since it can be used by many customers.

The second product was Sumita Beauty Kala Black Color Intense Pencil eyeliner. This was my first time trying a Sumita product, and I have to admit that I completely loved it. I always test my new eyeliners by putting a line on my hand and then getting in the shower. If the water by itself doesn’t mess with the eyeliner on my hand, then it should work for my eyes too, which tend to get watery. Sumita has ideally passed the test, both on my hand and on my eyes. Not a smudge. Also the black color is very intense and vibrant, which makes it a perfect black eyeliners. One more thing to mention about this eyeliner is that it glides on your eye flawlessly,  kinda like the gel eyeliners do.

The third product was the Skin & Co. Roma Truffle Therapy Serum. I have to say WOW to this one. The serum made my skin instanly smooth, improved it’s elasticity,  and brightened my complexion overall. Not to mention how amazing the smell of it is, you just want to eat that serum instead. The only thing which I wish was different is that the size of the serum tube would be a little larger (it was 0.17 fl. oz.). But then when looking at the price of the full size product, which was $72.80 for 1 oz., it made sense that the sample wasn’t too big. As soon as I save up some money,  I will be buying this product in full size, because the quality of the serum is pretty much worth that price.

The fourth product in the box was Pureology Serious Colour Care Colour Fanatic MultiTasking Hair Beautifier for ColorTreated Hair. It is a hair treatment spray, which provides 21 essential benefits to prime, protect, and perfect color treated hair. It definitely does its job, and as a bonus it smells wonderful. I definitely will be buying thif product for my color treated hair.

The fifth, and final product was Anatomicals Puffy The Eye Bag Slayer Wake Up Under Eye Patches. I love Anatomicals products, as well as their funny names and descriptions for their products. They always get me laughing. These patches are really good, and they reduce fine lines, revitalize delicate skin, moisturize, restore elasticity, and nourish. After testing them, I have to admit that they do as well as promised. You also get a full size for this product of 3 patches of .21 oz. valued at $11. You have to keep the patches on for 30 minutes though, which is sometimes too long for the time you have left to get ready in the morning.

Overall, I liked this Glossybox and all the products in it. You got 3 full size products (eyeliner, nail polish, and eye patches) one deluxe size product (hair beautifier), and one sample size product (face serum). However,  I have to mention that I am never disappointed with Glossybox,  and it remains my favorite.
